Jewish Food Festival

Sun, Nov 1, 12-4 pm.

The Sha’are Shalom Women’s Group is sponsoring a Jewish Food Festival on Sun, Nov 1, from noon to 4 pm.  Put this on your calendar as a “must attend” event.

We will have a wide array of deli favorites like corned beef, pastrami, chopped chicken liver, hot dogs, kugel, cabbage rolls, tzimmes, and chicken soup with matzah balls.

The event is also an outreach to the non-Jewish community, so we are featuring several programs during the afternoon:  Jasha will give a talk on the Torah and how it’s written, and will chant a few lines so our guests can hear the sound of the Torah.  George will give a talk on Jewish values and beliefs. And we will be entertained by our Religious School children singing for us.

Deadline for reservations is Oct. 24.  Price: $14 Adults; $7 Children age 5 to 12; under age 5 is free.  Please help us spread the word by telling your friends and make your reservation by sending a check payable to Congregation Sha’are Shalom, to Madelene Weinberger, 4826 Bryantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601

You will receive more details via the Town Crier.  So stay tuned but don’t forget to put this on your calendar!  For more information, contact Madelene Weinberger at m.weinberger2@verizon.net.
