Don your shorts, T-shirts, and flip flops, and enjoy a BBQ dinner, ice cream oneg, and Friday services under a big sky. Bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets for the service. Don’t miss all the sun and fun of Hot Shabbat!
- 6-7 pm: BBQ (burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, soda and adult beverages) and games for kids
- 7:15-8 pm: Family kabbalat service
- 8 pm: Oneg of ice cream and mixed fruit
Adults (15 and over) $5; children 14 & under: FREE. Your reservation for the meal is a check for $5 per adult made out to Congregation Sha’are Shalom and mailed to George Gazarek at 14107 Port Town Rd, Accokeek, MD 20607. Please indicate how many adults and children will be eating.
The Shabbat service is free of charge, as always. All activities including the service will be outside under the stars.
