Building Damage

Unfortunately there was some damage in a class-rooms at the synagogue that went unreported and was later discovered during the adult B’nai Mitzvah class. While it is unlikely this was done on purpose it raises a several issues that the Board would like addressed.

It is important that if parents allow their children to be in the classrooms during any event at the temple that there is regular adult supervision. We also need to re-member that these are classrooms, not playrooms and children should ask an adult before using any school supplies from the classrooms.

We would also ask that all congregants keep an eye out for inappropriate or rambunctious behavior. If you see something, please say something. Don‟t wait for a parent to speak to their own child.
If there continue to be issues in the classrooms we will be forced to lock the classroom doors, opening them only for scheduled classes. We are so blessed to have this synagogue, to call our home, let’s make sure we maintain it so it can continue to serve Jews in Southern Maryland for many years to come.
