Happy Chanukah to Everyone. I am hoping that I will see all of you at our Chanukah Party on Saturday, December 4th at 5:30pm. This is a fun time for everyone. Don’t forget to bring your Menorah, so we can light the 4 Chanukah can-dles.
November was a great month. Bunco Night was a lot of fun and hopefully we will have more Bunco Nights. The Walk to End Homelessness on Nov. 20th was a beautiful day for a walk and it was really nice to see the young people in our Congregation getting involved in this great cause.
November 13th we had our semiannual membership meeting. Even though we had the meeting in Nov. instead of our usual October meeting, we had a nice turn out. A lot was discussed and hopefully great things will come out of this meet-ing. One of the things that came from this meeting was the beginning of our “Outreach Program.”
We here at Sha’are Shalom have been so comfortable in our new synagogue that we are forgetting that we have to GROW and spread the word that we are HERE and open the doors to NEW MEMBERS. Even though we are a small group, we really do a lot so we have to let people know what we can offer to them. On our information table in the lobby area of the synagogue there are pamphlets about Sha’are Shalom. If you know somebody who would like one, please take one and spread the word.
