Thanks to everyone who took part in the Walk to End Homelessness in Charles County and to Lifestyles of Maryland for organizing the event and all the work they do to improve the lives of people in Southern Maryland! Congregation Sha’are Shalom donated over $800 to the Safe Nights Program which provides housing for more than 30 homeless families a night right here in Charles County. More than 20 members of the congregation joined hundreds of others for the 3 mile walk on a sunny fall morning. Along the way we ran into some of our friends from St. Paul’s Episcopal who send their regards and well wishes to the congregation.
