President’s Message

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

April was a very busy month for Sha‟are Shalom with great events. I know it wasn‟t too long ago some of us was wondering if we could have enough events for our building. If you look at our calendar we are busy here at Sha‟are Shalom and that is GREAT!

April we had our Annual Community Seder and it was wonderful experience to have dinner with 65 family and friends. This year the tables were beautiful with real table cloths, cloth napkins, and real place settings. Sha‟are Shalom has become a Green Synagogue. I have to say being Green is a lot of work when you think about it. For example Seder: plates (2 for each setting), bowls, forks, knives, spoons (2 for each setting), glasses (wine and drinks) coffee cups, dessert plates, napkins and 9 tablecloths. That is a lot of washing!

Jonah Casebeer did a great job with his Bar Mitzvah. It is really nice to see how our children of Sha‟are Sha-lom have grown.

A reminder that May 14th is our Annual Member-ship Meeting with a luncheon Oneg. I am sure by now everybody has a copy of the By-laws. Please bring your copy that was sent to you to the meeting. This is a very important meeting and we need all members to attend and give your support to Sha‟are Shalom.
Please take note to all the events that we have listed in the newsletter. Mark your calendar, show your sup-port and if you like invite a friend to the event.

Sha’are Shalom’s doors are always open.
Shalom,
Jackie
