Educational Shabbat Dinner and Service

Did you ever wonder when the Jews started using braided challah as the Shabbat bread?  And what about those two candles on Friday night?  What is the appropriate number of candles to use for the Friday candle lighting?  Come to the Educational Shabbat Dinner and Service to find out these answers and learn about so many other fascinating topics.

We will have rotisserie chicken, potato kugel, Mandarin orange salad, glazed carrots, braided challah (of course!), and desserts.  Prices are $12 for adults; $7 children 5 to 12, under 5 are free.  Maximum of $45 per family.  New Sha’are Shalom members are welcome as our guests! Services follow the dinner.  Reservations by Jan 3.
