Well January has left us without too much snow or ice. Not like my sister-in-law Sandy Petty in Olympia, WA who had 14½ inches of snow and then the ice came and then the rain. Let’s hope we don’t have that on this side of the coast.
I want to say a big THANK YOU to the Outreach Committee again for doing a great job on the Educational Shabbat Dinner. If you miss this great dinner you really miss some educational things about Shabbat. Please show your support by coming to all the events and have a great time with your Sha’are Shalom Family.
There is a Committee Chair that needs to be filled and that is Fundraiser. We need to have fundraiser events so we can keep our dues down and to be able to buy items like The Tree of Life and a new Yahrzeit Board. So if you have ideas and would like to head this committee please let me know ASAP.
If you have not sponsored an oneg and would like to, try Mitzvah Catering they do a great job. The cost for Friday night is $25.00 and Saturday Oneg is bigger and it cost $36.00. Just think Mitzvah Catering does all the work for you, which is great. Email Elaine McVinney at [email protected] for a date.
Just to give you a heads up on some important dates that are coming up. April 7th will be our Community Sedar and more information will be coming. May 12th is a very special date not only having our Annual Membership Meeting but we will be celebrating our 1st Confirmation Graduation so I am asking all members to come an support these young adults. Our young adults are the future for Sha’are Shalom.
This year the office of President, Secretary and Financial Secretary needs to be filled. Each position is a 2 year position and can be elected for 2 terms. Please look at the job descriptions in the newsletter.
Check out the newsletter for more information on things that are happening at Sha’are Shalom and come and join us.
Shalom,
Jackie
