Sukkot Celebration – September 30th at 4 PM

During Sukkot we celebrate our 40 years of wandering in the desert and the harvest season. It’s one of the most joyous of holidays. This year we will have a new and larger Sukkah (you absolutely must come and see it.) In addition to decorating the Sukkah and saying the bless-ings over the Etrog and Lulav, there will be children’s team games such as Pick Pocket Tag, Gourd Bowling and Popcorn races, a 15 minute educational program, and of course, dinner in the Sukkah.

The celebration will begin on September 30th at 4 PM and end at 7 PM. Everyone is encouraged to bring something to hang in the Sukkah; remember it’s larger this year!! Dinner will be pizza, salad, desserts and drinks. The price is $5 for adults and children older than 10; children age 5 to 10 are $3; under age 5 is free. (NOTE: If you can’t or don’t eat pizza, please let us know when you make your reservation and we will pro-vide you a sandwich)

Reservations are a must and can be made by mailing a check, payable to Sha’are Shalom, to Madelene Wein-berger, 4826 Bryantown Rd, Waldorf, MD 20601. The deadline for reservations is September 26th.
