Purim party

The party will begin February 23 at 6 PM. There will be games for the children, a dinner of pizza, salad, drinks and desserts (including hamantaschen). After dinner we will read the Megillah; groggers will be available for the appropriate reaction to a certain word during the reading and then one of the most important parts, “Parade of Costumes.” After the parade we will try to guess the character the costume represents. Last year this was one of the highlights of the party. So please be thinking about your costume, adults and children. We had several adults in costume last year and we are hoping for even more this year. Your character can be anything; it isn’t limited to the story of Purim.

Cost is $5 per adult and $3 for children age 5 to 10. Children under 5 are free. Send your RSVP with check, payable to Sha’are Shalom, to Madelene, at the address listed in the “purim baskets” article. Deadline for RSVP and check is February 20.
