Holocaust Remembrance Service

Saturday, April 26, 7 pm

Please join us as we remember the events of this terrible tragedy in our history.  We have many members in our congregation who lost family members, and we would like to honor the victims by reading their names and remembering them at the service.  After the service, we will take a break and have dessert.

For those who wish to stay, a short (85 min.) documentary film, “No Place on Earth, will be shown after dessert.  It tells the story of five Jewish families in Ukraine who survived the war by hiding in caves.  It is the longest uninterrupted underground survival in recorded human history.  Their remarkable story would have been completely lost except for a cave explorer who just happened to stumble upon remnants that had

been left behind for decades.  With great effort he tracked down the survivors and had them share their incredible story of strength and perseverance.  For more information about the film, please consult this link:

There is no charge for this event, but please RSVP to Nancy Gould by April 23.  Her e-mail is [email protected], phone is 301-863-7496.
