Presiden’t Message

by Jackie Schoch

The number one question is, “How do you say Good-bye and Thank You at the same time?”

This is my last “President’s Message” for Congregation Sha’are Shalom so I am saying goodbye as your President and Thank You.  It has been four years since I took office and a lot has happened in my life as well as our Congregation.  We have had a lot of Bar and Bat Mitzvahs especially our first B’nai Mitzvah.  We have had weddings from our member’s children who have grown up in our synagogue.  From one of the weddings, Glauce and Josh Troncoso, we had our first bris and baby naming of twins.  It is really great to see our synagogue grow.  With all the growth we are having, it also means that members will have to help whenever asked.  This is your synagogue and we should all be very proud.

Next year we are celebrating OUR 25th Anniversary and we are still going strong.  We will be celebrating all through 2015 so please take notice to the newsletters of events that we will have to celebrate 25 years.  The Anniversary Committee has a lot of events for us to celebrate.

I want to say THANK YOU for letting me be your President for 2 terms.  I am very proud of our synagogue and where it is heading.  Now is the time to help your new President George Gazarek as he starts his term.

Now that summer is on its way, I hope everybody will have a good time vacationing and being safe.  If you would like to write up a small article about your vacation, please email it to me at grammysglassgarden@gmail.com and I will put it in the newsletter.

Check out the newsletter for more information on things that are happening at Congregation Sha’are Shalom and come join us.

Shalom,

Jackie
