Hamantaschen And Purim Basket Sales
The hamantaschen bakers of Sha’are Shalom have been really busy. We sold 61 dozen, put 21 dozen in the Purim Baskets and donated 5 dozen for the Party. You can add it up, that’s a total of 1,044 hamantaschen or 87 dozen – by any measure, that’s a lot of hamantaschen!!
I can’t thank the following bakers enough: Sandy Blake, Ariell D’Amore, Elaine McVinney, Joan Troncoso and Lynn Weinberger. I would open a bakery with you ladies anytime.
This was the second year for our Purim Baskets, and thanks to everyone that placed an order, it was more successful than the first. I hope that all the basket recipients enjoyed them.
I owe a big thank you to the following people that helped me: Arielle D’Amore, Elaine McVinney, Joan Troncosco and Lynn Weinberger. Thank you ladies, they were beautiful.
The profits realized from this project will be used to fund our part-time Rabbi position in 2012. The next project that will help fund this position is the spaghetti dinner and auction on May 21st. The chair of the auction has an article in this newsletter. So mark your calendar and come out for this fun evening.
