Message from the President, March 2012

I want to say a big THANK YOU to Pamela Green, Michele Uhler and to Jasha Levenson for theTu B’Shevat Seder on February 12th. It was a wonderful event and great company by all. Please show your support by coming to all the events and have a great time with your Sha’are Shalom Family.

The Tu B’Shevat Seder also brought my attention to something and I want to share with you. During the events that we have there is always same people that work in the kitchen, same clean up BUT they are always the same people. So after I finished in the kitchen and everybody was gone except Michele Uhler, I noticed that the floor was a mess with crumbs and marks on the floor. After every event I never noticed that before because Paul McVinney has always swept the floors. Paul was not at the Seder and nobody jumped in to clean the floor. So Michele and I swept the floors. I want to take this time to say THANK YOU Paul for all the times you have cleaned the floors. Now that Paul will be gone for a while, it is time that people take notice of what has to be done and please just jump in and help. Think of the synagogue as your home and jump in to keep it clean, so your company will be glad to come and visit.
