March was a very busy month for Sha’are Shalom with great events. Eric Richman started it off by doing a great job with his Bar Mitzvah. Eric was also the first to use our new microphone system and it worked great.
Sha’are Shalom Purim Baskets are the best. I have gotten so many comments on these baskets from friends that I gave them too outside of Sha’are Shalom. This is one fundraiser I hope we keep. What a great tradition!
I want to take my hat off to all the ladies that made the Hamentaschen. They are the best.
This year being President, I have tried different Hamentaschens from different synagogues (even one from New York) and Sha’are Shalom Hamentaschens are the best.
There should be a bake-off on Hamentaschen!
As March comes to a close, it also is a closure to my 22 years and 9 months Federal Government career at the Naval Research Laboratory on March 31st. This whole year will be special to me since this Baby Boomer is turning 65. Starting off the year by being your President, Retiring and there is a lot more to come. I won’t be celebrating every month like I did when I turned 60, but the adventures continue!
Please take note to all the events that we have listed in the newsletter. Mark your calendar, show your support and if you like invite a friend to the event.
Sha’are Shalom’s doors are always open.
Shalom,
Jackie
