Where did August go! I hope everybody had a wonderful, rested and an adventurist summer. I know the Schoch family sure did and now we are ready for Fall.
Talk to some of our young people who went to Jewish camp for the first time. I am sure they will have a lot to tell you about their experience.
We had a wonderful, rainy time at the Congregation Sha’are Shalom picnic. Please look for the article and pictures in the newsletter. Just a note I noticed after-wards when I was taking pictures I didn’t get all the children. The reason for that is they were playing in the rain; now the photographer doesn’t want to get that wet!
I want to say Thank You to everyone who gave some-thing toward the School Supplies for the Children’s Aid Society. The box was overflowing.
During the High Holidays is a time for giving to others and this year we will be doing our Food Drive from Sep-tember 8th to October 7th. This is our annual event and we will be collecting non-perishable items. So please, every time you visit the synagogue, bring items for the Food Drive. This year there will be a table as you come into the synagogue.
Check out the newsletter for more information on things that are happening at Sha’are Shalom and come and join us.
Shalom,
Jackie
