Religious School

Mazel tov to Daphne McCright who did a beautiful job at her recent Bat Mitzvah! All four of our recent b’nai mitzvot worked hard and showed the entire congregation that they are prepared to move forward as young adults in the Jewish community.

A tzedakah box, also called a pushka in Hebrew was donated to Congregation Sha’are Shalom in honor of Beverly Hoy and Stuart Richman in honor of their many years of dedicated service to the religious school. It is only with the combined efforts of all of our parent volunteers that we are able to continue providing a Jewish ed-ucational experience for our children. Thanks again!

Thanks in part to some generous donations from Justin McCright and Linda Thomas the Sha’are Shalom Religious School has obtained two desktop computers that will be used for interactive learning using DVDs that are part of our prayer based Hebrew curriculum. The computers can be available to any congregant who wants to learn the Hebrew letters, sounds, and some basic words that are part of our traditional Sabbath prayers.

Classes, curriculum, and the calendar for the 2011-2012 academic year are still in the planning stages. All parents will be notified by email with further details.
