Nine women attended the tea at the Front Porch restaurant in Leonardtown. Before the tea, some of us took the time to check out Heritage Chocolate across the street (HeritageChocolateShop.com); they offered samples and had a large assortment to choose from. During the tea we had our planning meeting and came up with several new ideas. To tempt your adventurous appetite I’ll tell you a few: We will be attending the Port Tobacco Players production of “1776” sometime in July/ August. The musical is being staged by several CSS members: it will be produced by Liz Mildenstein, directed by Joselle Gilpin, and music-directed by Zach Ball.
This show is not to be missed! The other show on our calendar is “Dreamgirls,” which will be put on by Tantallon Community Players in May and June. There are plenty of other activities slated for the next year that will include activities focused on supporting the community, the temple, learning, and fun.
Our next dinner out is Wed, May 4, at 6:15 pm at the Prime Street Grille in White Plains. RSVP to [email protected] by May 2 if you would like to attend.
On Sun, May 15, at 2 pm, we will attend the Antebellum Tea at Mt. Aventine, located just off Indian Head Highway. Some of us attended last year and were impressed with the tea, the beautiful house and entertainment. There is a $35 donation asked per person. RSVP to me ASAP! [email protected]
Remember, we are an inclusive organization and are open to all women.
I look forward to seeing everybody soon!
