Mark your calendar on August 24th at 11 am for Sha’are Shalom’s Pot Luck Picnic at Gilbert Run.
Gilbert Run is located at 13140 Charles Street, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622, 8 miles east of La Plata on Rte 6.
This scenic wooded parkland has nature trails, picnic areas (grills and tables), pavilions, playgrounds, and fishing piers. The 60 acre lake has fishing, pedal boating, row-boating and canoeing. Fishing supplies, licenses, and concessions are available. The pavilion we reserved is near a playground so the children will have fun.
The Men’s Group will cook for this special time for all the families to be together and have fun. Bring your favorite pot luck dish to the picnic. The synagogue will furnish the hot dogs and hamburgers with buns. Please RSVP to George Gazarek at ggazarek@gmail.com by August 15th.
