CANCELLED – Holocaust Remembrance – Sunday, April 22, 2:00pm

Due to circumstances beyond our control we are cancelling the Holocaust Program scheduled for April 22nd.

We are honored to once again have a Holocaust survivor tell their story as our Congregation’s way of saying “Never again!”

We work with the U.S. Holocaust Museum to arrange for a speaker at our annual remembrance event. The museum won’t be able to tell us the speaker’s name or experience until approximately two weeks prior to the event.  But as someone who has been to all these events, I can tell you that it is a unique opportunity and one that you don’t want to miss.

We will read the Book of Names and light the yahrzeit candles prior to the speaker’s talk.  For our newer members: Years ago, we compiled a book listing family members who were impacted by the Holocaust.  If any of you have family names you would like included, please contact Madelene at m.weinberger2@verizon.net.

This is a free event and we hope that others in the community join us.  Help us spread the word by inviting your friends and family.   For planning purposes, please let me know if you plan to attend.  You may call me at 301-848-4377 or use the email above.
