Library tidbits

a. The Juvenile Section – contains materials (books, videotapes, DVDs and CDs) suitable for children, age 10 years and below. The call (or catalog) number of all materials will start with a letter ‘J’ prefix. The call will be found on the spine or front cover of the book, CD, VCR, or DVD. Robyn Kanter has agreed to serve as the librarian in charge of this part of the library.
b. The Young Adult Section – contains materials for people, ages 11-17. These materials are fully integrated with adult materials in the adult section. Young adult materials will have a YA call number prefix. I shall super-vise this section of the library. Congregational Library

Library Tidbits
1. General. I have almost completed the cataloging of all of the contents of the library. The library will be divided into two sections:

c. The Adult Section – except as noted in paragraph 2 below, materials in the adult section will not have any letter prefix in their call number. I shall also super-vise this section of the library.
2. Other call number prefixes:
a. Biographies and Autobiographies – will have ‘BIO’ as the first line of the call number.
b. Reference materials will have REF as the first line of the call number.
