Purim is one of the most joyous and fun holidays on the Jewish calendar. The Congregational celebration will be on February 28. Children and adults are encouraged to come in costume. The party will begin at 10:30 with games and crafts for the children. At 11:30 we will read the Megillah; groggers will be available for the appropriate reaction to a certain word during the reading. A potluck lunch will be served at noon.
There is no charge for this event, but reservations are required. Please let Madelene Weinberger know how many in your family are coming and what you will be bringing for the potluck.
The lunch menu will consist of:
- Kugel,
- Tuna salad
- Egg salad
- Pasta salad
- Vegetable tray with dip
- Cheese tray
- Bread (sandwich bread and rolls)
- Dessert (other than hamantaschen which the Women’s Group will provide)
- Drinks
